The Ailsa Skirt

$82.00

The Ailsa skirt is my best selling garment of all time. It's an asymetric skirt made from panels of genuine wool tartan which are sourced from the remnants of the kiltmaking industry here in Scotland , other tartan fabrics , velvets and tweeds, etc all sourced as much as possible by recycling , using deadstock,  fabrics or remnants I collect from markets etc. They all have underskirts which are recycled from other garments. They are a unique and sustainable edgy fashion look that works well with both casual and dressed up looks.

The nature of the skirt is to hang in a long / short style , and the lengths vary depending on the size of the remnants available . They can all be altered to fit you , larger or smaller and the alterations are free. All you need to do is let me know your waist size in either inches or centimetres. They are a pull on item with no zip , and have a soft cotton feel stretch waistband. They are the same at the back as they are at the front unless otherwise shown.

This one is made from an unusual brown tartan , brown princess of Wales check tweed ,grey tweed and tan and orange check tweed It has a brown print georgette underskirt and measures 17inches, approx 45cm  centre front from the lower waistband to the edge of the tartan. The underskirt hangs a little lower. Its quite heavy weight altogether.
